Tasks And Qualifications
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
- For Installation projects, to act in the capacity of EHS Lead, and support the Project Management Team to maintain all safety related matters, ensuring that the project and workers are Safe, Legal and Compliant with regards to EHS matters.
- Support in enforcing Dematic EHS Standards
- Promoting and enhancing a positive safety culture
- Enforcing principal contractor/client and Site EHS Standards.
- Vetting of potential sub-contractor groups
- Involved in Design risk assessment and CEA reviews
- Ensure risk register has been implemented and is aligned with the CDM Regulations
- To act as the EHS subject matter expert for country / local EHS regulations and legislation, ensuring compliance with such is applied on the project.
- To advise Site Management of any differences in the country Approved Codes of Practices and Dematic EHS Standards.
- To Support Dematic and local EHS teams in working together to achieve EHS aims.
- Give input and advice to solving EHS related issues.
- Audit the One Dematic Annex EHS compliance
- To support in safety initiatives, for the further improvement of safety related matters:
- Safety culture enhancement.
- Actively mentor, educate and coach managers & employees on safety standards, expectations and best practice.
- Provide pragmatic recommendations for improving safety on Installation sites.
- Carry out Behavioural Based Safety Observations (BBSO) and record them on Gensuite.
- To provide practical safety solutions to ongoing installation and commissioning works.
- To collaborate and support the Project & Site Management Teams to drive Dematic and site sustainability goals.
- To support the maintenance of the Dematic Safe System of Work (SSoW) on all project sites.
- To assist in the overseeing and application of the One Dematic – SSoW:
- Monitor the adherence to the Site EHS Plan and accompanying Annexes 1-10.
- The Installations EHS manager will be suitably qualified to the minimum expectations in order to practice this role.
- NEBOSH Level 5 Diploma in Occupational H & S (minimum)
- Valid, in date certificates of any mandatory EHS body memberships as required
- IOSH
- IIRSM
- IPAF
- CITB (CSCS) mandatory
- The assigned project language.
- Local language for the project country.
- 5 years as an EHS professional. - (or had EHS as part of their role)
- 3 years’ experience working on installation/construction project sites
- Working knowledge and experience of working to CDM Regulations and the Machinery Directive.
- IT proficient in MS Package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Cloud based systems.
- Lead a team of EHS professionals at various project installation sites around the UK, Ireland and the Nordics
- Give EHS training as required in Safety Management Systems and EHS based topics
- Write safety alerts and TBT’s
- Support the site management teams in carrying out Accident/incident investigations
- Review and Assess quality level of Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
- In EHS related matters.
