About The Role

The purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient running of the Dealing Team. A mixture of operational and regulatory focus provides a varied and interesting role for someone who has experience in management in this sector, or for an ambitious and talented administrator who wants to take the next step in their career.

The Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the team, ensuring that the team are delivering work accurately and within expected timescales. In addition to this, you are expected to motivate, inspire, and develop those staff so that they can grow in line with the aspirations of the business.

The successful candidate will be key in both delivering team and individual targets within the appointed timescales and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for overseeing and participating in the maintenance of the core team processes.
  • Trading at hourly, weekly, and monthly artificial valuation points.
  • Daily trading controls and investigation.
  • Contract note processing and verification.
  • Transaction reporting.
  • Float account management.
  • Weekly conversions of assets from dirty to clean share classes.
  • Manage the teams to achieve an effective workflow, contributing towards an efficient execution of responsibilities.
  • Completion of daily checklists and control checks on processes completed by the teams.
  • Work with the management team to maintain a collaborative approach in achieving the department’s SLAs and KPIs.
  • Responsible for team development through structured 1-2-1s, appraisals and individual training and development plans.
  • Encourage and value ideas and initiatives.
  • Support the Dealing, Investments and Corporate Actions manager daily.
  • Demonstrate flexibility during periods of high workload; assist other services when required.
  • Achieve and actively maintain your skills and knowledge to adhere to the Training and Competence standards, undertaking Overseer activities as nominated.

You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.

About You

Specialist Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills.
  • Ownership and accountability.
  • Proactive and driven.
  • Working knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.

Desirable

  • Investment Management Certificate (IMC), Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or equivalent industry recognised qualification.
  • Financial services experience.
  • Understanding of investments and investment products.
