About the Role

Construo Recruitment is working with a leading housing provider to recruit a Contracts Officer to join their Asset Management team in Dundee.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction or facilities management professional to play a key role in delivering major improvement works, retrofit programmes, reactive repairs, and energy efficiency projects across residential and commercial property portfolios.

The successful candidate will provide technical oversight, ensure statutory compliance across contractor-delivered works, and help deliver high-quality, tenant-focused services while supporting long-term asset investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of major improvement, retrofit, and remedial works projects

  • Oversee reactive repairs and planned maintenance programmes

  • Ensure contractor works comply with Fire Safety, Asbestos, Gas, and Electrical Safety regulations

  • Monitor project progress to ensure delivery on time and within budget

  • Provide technical support and expertise across construction and compliance activities

  • Assist with contractor management, quality assurance, and compliance inspections

  • Support asset management and investment planning initiatives

  • Produce reports, analyse data, and maintain accurate project records

  • Participate in the out-of-hours emergency repairs standby rota

  • Deliver a high standard of tenant-focused customer service

Requirements

  • Qualification in construction, facilities management, or a related discipline

  • Experience managing construction, maintenance, or improvement works within a project environment

  • Strong understanding of statutory compliance and property safety requirements

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management ability

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong reporting and data analysis skills

  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively within a team

  • Interest in sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives
