Contracted Services Manager - #145789

Bromford

Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Chipping Sodbury
Salary: £55,692 per year
Contract type: Full time

At Bromford, we believe everyone has the right to a home that’s more than just a roof over their head — it should be a springboard to a better future. We’re passionate about creating safe, secure, and energy-efficient homes our customers are proud to live in. As our new M&E Contracted Services Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering just that.

The role

Reporting to the Head of M&E, you will lead the operational and financial management of our mechanical and electrical (M&E) contracted programmes — including planned, cyclical, and reactive services. This role is critical to ensuring that vital services like communal lighting, lifts, white goods, ventilation, and fire safety systems are delivered safely, effectively, and to the highest standard.

You’ll manage a £3M annual budget, lead contractor performance, assure compliance, and drive value for money — all while keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead delivery of planned and reactive M&E services across a dispersed property portfolio.
  • Ensure contractor performance meets our standards for safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Manage and report on a multimillion-pound budget with full accountability for cost and programme delivery.
  • Provide robust contract management and quality assurance for all outsourced works.
  • Build, motivate and manage a team of internal colleagues and supply partners.
  • Continuously improve processes, informed by customer insight and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all works meet legal, regulatory, and health & safety obligations.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver a seamless, customer-first service.

What we’re looking for

  • Significant experience managing complex M&E contracts across multiple sites.
  • Excellent knowledge of CDM 2015, building services, and regulatory standards.
  • Proven track record in financial and contract management.
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in building services or M&E discipline (or equivalent).
  • SMSTS and Health & Safety qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with procurement, Joint Contract Tribunal (JCT) contracts, and managing external suppliers.
  • IT literate with confidence in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.

Based in Chipping Sodbury, you'll enjoy a flexible week split between our workspaces and your home, offering the perfect balance. You will be provided with a company car/cash allowance alternative therefore a full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel regularly across Bromford’s operating areas is essential.

Due to the nature of the role, an enhanced DBS check will be required.
