Commercial Data and Reporting Analyst - #147906

Magma Aviation has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Data and Reporting Analyst to join the team in the Gatwick office.

Purpose of the Role

• Manage regular commercial performance reporting to Magma management and Group stakeholders
• Support the process to build, agree and execute strategy for data analytics, business insights and digitalisation.
• Provide effective finance and commercial input to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered.
  
  

Responsibilities Of The Role

• Be the point of contact within Magma for any scheduled or ad-hoc reporting requirements
• Create weekly and monthly commercial performance reports for senior Magma and Group stakeholders
• Create regular reports covering network performance and aircraft utilization versus minimum guarantees
• Create standardised reports for the various departments within Magma, combining internal and external metrics, such as trade data and competitor activity
• Design and manage underlying data sources to allow quick and efficient data extracts to support analysis; participate in the development of strategies, operating models (i.e. organisation and processes), roadmaps and business cases for analytics and business and market intelligence solutions
• Investigate any identified data discrepancies; take ownership of the root cause analysis and any rectification actions required
• Manage the project to develop a data lake and reporting platform for Magma
• Manage Magma’s data lake and reporting platforms, once implemented
• Advocate automation for scheduled and ad-hoc reporting and develop this for Magma, collaborating with the Chapman Freeborn Group business intelligence team
• Keep up-to date with the air cargo market and data analysis trends
• Prepare regular Market Insight reports
• Manage external Business Insight portals and the integration of such into the Magma landscape.
• Support the Magma management team with the digital transformation strategy and projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience (2–5 years) in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence—ideally within logistics, transportation, or other asset-based industries (not required).
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) strongly desired, not required.
• Strong SQL knowledge is preferred.
