The Role
The role of the Team Leader is to be responsible for a Cleaning Team to ensure that the local cleaning operation follows guidelines and best practice, providing a good customer experience.
Role Responsibilities
While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.

The Role
The role of the Team Leader is to be responsible for a Cleaning Team to ensure that the local cleaning operation follows guidelines and best practice, providing a good customer experience.
Role Responsibilities
- In absence of the Site Manager, this role will be responsible for a designated cleaning team for a site by managing and coordinating and the onsite Cleaning Operatives, producing a consistent approach and a service that meets and aims to exceed expectations.
- Provide management information by collating across data across train counts, audits and stock information to ensure TfW can make informed decisions relating to the cleaning provision.
- Coordinate operational activities of the teams by being accountable for the scheduling of the cleaning rotas and conducting audits to ensure that the sites run effectively and provide a good customer service.
- Conduct daily cleaning check by visiting cleaning area, conducting spot-checks for stock and PPE to ensure the cleaning provision is compliant.
- Oversee the performance metrics of the Cleaning Team by reviewing the performance reports collated for the Supervisor to keep the team motivate and provide a best-in-class cleaning service.
- Previous experience of working in a cleaning role.
- Ability to manage and motivate a dispersed and diverse workforce.
- Have an understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures in the cleaning industry.
- Understanding of how to safely handle cleaning substances.
- Flexible and available to work the shifts required.
