The Sales/Business Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of RMT Technology by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients, and developing strategies to expand our customer base.
You will collaborate closely with our technical teams to offer tailored IT solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual with a passion for IT and technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify, research, and generate new business opportunities across a range of sectors for RMT Technology’s managed IT services.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target companies.
- Sales Strategy Development: Work closely with the leadership team to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth goals.
- Proposal Development: Create compelling and customized proposals, presentations, and quotes to showcase RMT Technology’s services and value proposition.
- Consultative Selling: Understand client needs and challenges and propose tailored IT solutions (such as cloud services, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure management, and support).
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by closing deals and expanding the client portfolio.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to identify potential opportunities for growth.
- Collaborative Engagement: Partner with the technical and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and a seamless client experience.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an up-to-date CRM system with all client communications, sales activities, and opportunities.
- Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote RMT Technology and expand the company’s professional network.
- Proven Sales Experience: 2+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within the IT Managed Services, cloud, or technology sector.
- Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of IT services such as managed services, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and IT infrastructure. You should be able to effectively communicate the value of these services to clients.
- Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Consultative Sales Skills: Ability to listen to customer challenges, understand their needs, and position RMT Technology’s services as effective solutions.
- Target-Driven: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and grow business in a competitive environment.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CRM Experience: Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage and track sales activities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field is preferred but not essential if accompanied by relevant experience.
