Board Trustee - #148790
Hampton Trust

Whether you are an experienced Trustee or wanting to take your first step at Board level, we want to hear from you!
We are a leading provider of bold and innovative interventions, training, and education that help break the cycle of abuse. Adopting a trauma-informed approach in everything we do, we create safe spaces for victims and hold perpetrators to account to foster understanding, drive behaviour change, and help rebuild lives. Our rehabilitative interventions are both community based based as well as embedded within the criminal justice system, and we work strategically with a range of local and national partners and policy makers to drive long-lasting, transformative change within the system.
To help us meet existing challenges and realise new opportunities, our new Trustees will have skills or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Criminal justice and/or domestic abuse
- Commissioning and grants/income generation
- Policy and public affairs
- Marketing and Public Relations
- Knowledge about and links to the NHS, education, and youth sector
- Experience in sustainable organisational growth
- Digital expertise
We are very keen to increase the diversity of our Board so that it better represents the people we work with. We are encouraging younger applicants in their 20s and 30s to come forward and particularly welcome those from diverse ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds, as well as those with lived experience of domestic abuse.
As a Trustee, you will benefit from:
- Induction, training and reimbursable expenses
- Opportunities to make strategic decisions and develop new skills
- Opportunities to network with senior professionals
- Influence on shaping innovative projects
- The chance to improve the lives of people and communities
Expected time commitment: Four Trustee meetings per year (hybrid), including preparation, and some occasional ad-hoc committee work.
