Cygnet Hospital Godden Green is a private mental health hospital providing specialist acute and PICU services for women.
We are currently recruiting for a Bank Kitchen Assistant with previous experience working in a catering/kitchen/hospitality environment who can cover flexible ad hoc shifts as and when required to cover for annual leave, sickness, training, etc.
You will assist the Chef in ensuring that all catering areas are maintained in a hygienic, clean, tidy and safe manner, as per the operational standards, and assist in all relevant aspects of the catering operation as required.
We also operate a free shuttlebus service to pick up/drop off staff from the local train stations in Sevenoaks for those using public transport if required

In This Role You’ll
- Preparing, cooking and serving food in a safe manner
- Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Hospital. To maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude toward clients, their families, staff, visitors and others.
- Wash up after meals as well as being responsible for the overall cleaning of the kitchen and where appropriate the dining area
- Taking pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness
- Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Previous catering experience
- Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety Training
- Experience of working in a care or hospital environment
- Be a good communicator and able to liaise with people at all levels
- Have good personal hygiene standards
- Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
