What You Will Do
- Advise, support, and involve families and carers in simple therapy techniques.
- Provide hands-on complementary therapies to patients.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Collaborate with the Complementary Therapy team to enhance service offerings.
- Attend briefings to ensure continuity of care and educate health care colleagues.
- Contribute to the training of complementary therapy volunteers.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering complementary therapy.
- Nationally recognised qualification
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a healthcare setting and integrate therapies with conventional medicine.
- Experience in a palliative care setting and working with children.
- Nationally recognized qualification in more than one therapy, including massage.
- Ability to cope with situations in a palliative care setting.
