  • Support pupils in schools and safe community spaces, helping them re-engage with education
  • Create action plans with practical steps to improve attendance and outcomes
  • Manage a caseload across three pupil cohort waves each year
  • Work collaboratively with DfE teams, school leaders, and multi-agency partners
  • Contribute to the continuous development of best practice in attendance mentoring

  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and working with vulnerable learners
  • Experience of multi-agency working and relationship building with schools and partner organisations
  • Ability to plan and manage your own workload effectively
  • Understanding of school systems and the wider educational landscape
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative
  • Access to a reliable internet connection (6mb down / 1mb up or better)

Bonus if you have:

  • Thrive practitioner licence
  • A mentoring qualification (or willingness to undertake training)
  • Completion of the Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring course (required within the first year and funded by Etio)
  • Experience in developing and delivering individual support plans
  • Experience using referral networks and specialist agencies
  • Knowledge of the local Ipswich education landscape

What You’ll Learn and Develop:

  • An evolving and ongoing CPD offer that responds to training needs, including internal and external training on topics such as school systems, SEND, safeguarding, restorative practice and more
  • Thrive Licensed Practitioner training
  • Growth in confidence with case management, school engagement, and impactful mentoring techniques
  • Opportunity to be part of a programme shaping the future of education policy and practice
  • Level 3 Award in Coaching and Mentoring
