With Me in Mind supports children/young people and their families providing emotional and mental health support whilst enhancing services that already exist. The service ensures that early intervention and prevention are in place in all education providers working with ages from 4-19. The service supports children, young people and families providing extra capacity for early intervention support within school and college settings.
The post holder will support the Engagement and Participation Lead in promoting, coordinating, and enabling the involvement of children, young people, and their families across With Me in Mind.
This role will help ensure that service users’ voices are heard and that their experiences contribute to improving services. The post holder will assist in delivering participation activities, preparing materials, supporting groups, gathering feedback, and helping service users and carers take part in involvement opportunities.
The role contributes to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment that values participation and diversity. The post holder will work with service users, carers, staff, and partner organisations under the guidance of senior colleagues.
The Assistant Engagement and Participation Worker supports the delivery of participation and engagement activity across With Me In Mind. Working under the guidance and supervision of the Engagement and Participation Lead, the post holder assists with engaging children, young people, and families to ensure their voices contribute to service improvement.
The role involves helping to coordinate and set up participation groups, events, and feedback activities; supporting service users and carers to take part meaningfully; and carrying out routine administrative and organisational tasks such as maintaining involvement records, preparing materials, and gathering feedback data.
The post holder is expected to build positive working relationships with service users, carers, staff, and voluntary sector partners, and to represent the participation function professionally in day to day interactions. Although the role involves some independent working within clearly defined procedures, complex decisions and service wide developments remain the responsibility of senior staff.
