As Area Sales Manager you will be part of a small but strong team that works specifically on offering our customers the best solutions within mail and parcels handling equipment in the UK market.

You will be responsible for developing the mail and parcels sales in the UK, fostering new and existing customer relationships. The work will focus on boosting sales initiatives and activities that ensure the continued, sustainable growth of Körber.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities Will Be As Follows


  • Responsibility to lead the entire sales- and offer process; from the first customer contact to the handover to project execution
  • Coordinating the sales and concepting work together with the sales support team for the division
  • Assisting in preparing and realizing the sales budget for the division
  • Prepare and maintain the sales pipeline, on a continuous basis and with strong focus, including customer visits, sales follow-up and maintaining the customer database.
  • Expansion of the customer base and development of a sustainably growing business potential
  • Analysis of market trends and requirements
  • Participation in promotional initiatives such as fairs and exhibitions


Other Duties As Assigned.

Your success in the job will depend on your will and passion for creating good relations across the organization, thus ensuring a strong cooperation in internal processes and procedures.

About You


  • You have extensive sales experience and a proven track record of results from project sales. Since you will be representing Körber as a valued business partner to our customers, prior experience from project sales is required. You must also possess the ability to build and maintain sound customer relations. Experience within automated logistics systems would be a preferred.
  • To ensure that you understand customer requirements and conditions for our line of business and associated solution concepts, it is a precondition that you have a technical background – preferably on bachelor level.
  • You solve your tasks in a structured manner and work focused on meeting customer requirements and budgetary targets. You like to work independently, but also understand the importance of working in teams and of acting as a motivating and integrating factor in the team work. You will have a broad range of contacts internally, and we therefore expect you to have strong communications skills and that you are able to interact on all levels of the organization.
  • You have the skill and ability to hunt and develop new customer relations. You are analytical and find great engagement in contributing to common success of the team.
  • The position implies intensive travel activity within UK.
  • Your daily work base is working from your home and when needed at the office Milton Keynes.
