The Role


The post-holder will be involved in the planning, delivery and assessment of apprentices studying for Brick and Maintenance standards. This will involve supporting the learners in achieving their academic goals and career progression by delivering high quality lessons, and ensuring high student attendance and satisfaction.

The post-holders existing excellent skills will be enhanced by the College’s continuous professional development programme.


Main Duties for this role include


  • To comply with all college quality assurance procedures as prescribed by the Director of Apprenticeships to ensure the achievement of all internal and external audits.
  • To use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners’ experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.
  • To take overall responsibility for the Health & Safety of students within the teaching area and conduct relevant risk assessments where appropriate.
  • Thoroughly prepare suitable teaching, learning and assessment materials for a range of courses/classes and make use of a variety and appropriate learning and teaching methods.
  • Have available an up-to-date syllabus and scheme of work (showing methods of delivery and embedded cross-cutting themes) for each course/class taught.
