Apprentice Printer

We are proud to offer an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Printer at our Grimsby site. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in the print industry, gaining hands-on experience alongside structured training and development.

Position Type: Full-Time, Apprenticeship

Shift Pattern: To be confirmed


Role Overview


As an Apprentice Printer, you will work as part of our print team to learn how to operate flexographic printing presses and support the production of high-quality printed materials. You will receive on-the-job training and mentorship while developing the skills needed to safely and efficiently run printing machinery.

You will also assist in maintaining an organised and safe working environment, ensuring materials and equipment are ready for each stage of the production process.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Learn and follow all health & safety procedures within the department

  • Assist in the safe operation of printing presses under supervision

  • Support efforts to minimise downtime and reduce waste

  • Help with machine setup, cleaning, and basic maintenance

  • Assist in preparing and organising materials, inks, and consumables

  • Work closely with experienced printers and assistants to develop your skills

  • Support effective shift handovers to maintain production flow

  • Help ensure all work meets quality standards and customer specifications

  • Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards, including compliance with BRC requirements

  • Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) activities and problem-solving
