We are seeking a talented and motivated Apprentice CNC Operator - copy to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Role Summary
As an apprentice aligned to the TPM function you will be learning and developing the skills required to maintain a range of electromechanical equipment including CNC machines, assembly equipment, extrusion lines and ancillaries. You will be given the opportunity to gain the necessary skills to be able to service different machine types including planned preventative maintenance (PPM). During your apprenticeship you will be expected to support multiple equipment types and undergo training to support the development of your knowledge and skills.
As an apprentice you will be mentored by our TPM technicians who will pass on their specialist knowledge of Planned preventative Maintenance (PPM) in support of your studies.
You will be responsible for your own quality, safety and the safety of others.
What You’ll Be Doing
Developing the skills needed to maintain electromechanical equipment safely.
Lean About Electrical Safety And How To Fault Find.
Develop a safety-first culture when maintaining machines understanding risk assessment and COSHH.
Develop the skills required to use and understand different diagnostic equipment.
Learn about continuous improvement, lean and 5S.
Develop the ability to conduct non-conformance investigations including Root Cause analysis and Corrective Actions.
Learn about the Watson Marlow values and how we apply these every day.
Skills/Experience: This is what you’ll need to be successful in this role.
An engineering aptitude demonstrated by previous learning.
Good grades in mathematics and English.
A willingness to learn.
Good communication skills.
