We are partnering with a progressive dealership that brings over 40 years of expertise in the heavy plant and equipment industry, specialising in both new and used machinery. As they are continuing to expand, they're looking to grow their team with an experienced Aftermarket Manager to oversee and enhance performance across both the sales and service departments. In this role, you'll combine strong technical knowledge with proven leadership skills to drive efficiency and streamline communication between teams. A solid understanding of heavy plant machinery and the ability to thrive in a fast:paced, dynamic environment are essential for success.
Role: Aftermarket Manager
Salary: GBP 65,000 : GBP 70,000 per annum
Location: Within a reasonable commute of Corby
Report to: The Board of Directors
Key Duties For The Aftermarket Manager
: To be responsible and accountable for the Aftermarket parts and service business through inspiring leadership and vision.
: Work with and support the Company Directors to grow and develop the aftermarket business, taking full P and L responsibility.
: Implement actions for meeting the company's required aftermarket sales volumes and profit margins for the parts and service business.
: Work with and lead the Parts and Service Teams to optimise business performance and ensure the highest levels of service, satisfaction and experience for both internal and external customers.
: To ensure the DMS, CRM and manufacturer systems are being fully utilised to manage customers and increase business.
: Work with the marketing consultant and any other outside contractors to create increased business opportunities for service and parts.
: Deliver tactical operations to ensure the company's strategies are being met.
: Prepare and present reports for monthly management meetings.
: Full responsibility for meeting and exceeding all health and safety requirements across aftermarket operations.
: Enforce operating policies and standards to maintain control of all Aftermarket operational and administrative functions.
: Communicate with the Financial and Sales Director regularly to review engineers' and parts operatives' performance and address any specific issues.
: Co:ordinate with the Financial Director over the training needs and experience of the service and parts department teams, and delegate tasks to match these needs.
: Ensure the standards of PPE meet legal requirements and action any improvements as required.
Key Competences For The Aftermarket Manager
: IT Literate, strong knowledge of all Microsoft packages, including Excel and Teams.
: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively under pressure
: Full UK Driving licence
: Previous experience in plant machinery or agricultural, or automotive
: Strong organisational and communication skills
: Driven and determined to excel
: Have an analytical nature, the ability to decipher trends in data.
: Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders or colleagues.
: A team player who is flexible to help and support others when required
: Process driven
: Someone who had a passion to succeed
: Passionate about the heavy plant world with a genuine interest and knowledge
