The Radiology Central Service is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated experienced Radiographic Assistants to undertake general patient care and clerical administrative tasks on a full / part time contract.
The role will be based within the Radiology Department in the Glan Clwyd and community sites, although the successful candidate may be asked to cover shifts elsewhere within Radiology.
The post holder will be required to provide support to Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and patients attending Radiology.
It is essential that the post holder has experience of working within a Radiology Department.
The successful candidate must have excellent patient care skills, along with good communication and team working skills.
There will be a requirement to work evenings and weekends and also to provide support for the Radiology Service on other sites within the Health Board as needed.

Main duties of the job
- To work independently under the direction of a Radiographer to maintain and support an efficient 24 hour, day-to-day running of the Radiology service.
- To contribute to the general running of the Radiology service.
- To work under direction of Radiographers in the overall clinical and administrative management of patients.
- To be delegated routine Radiographic examination tasks to be carried out independently and progress examinations within guidelines and protocols.
- To be accountable for these tasks.
- To participate in training to update and assist in service changes within designated area.
- To be flexible and be prepared to work in other areas depending on service needs.
