Are you highly organised with a keen eye for detail and experience in financial services? We’re looking for a Transfers Administrator to join our Chelmsford-based team. This is a great opportunity to support the smooth and accurate transfer of client accounts, ensuring a high standard of service throughout.



About the Role

As a Transfers Administrator, you’ll be responsible for processing the transfer of GIAs, ISAs, Pensions, and Trusts to both internal accounts and external providers. You’ll work closely with internal teams and third parties to ensure transfers are completed efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process internal transfers of GIA, ISA, and Trust accounts, including APS (Additional Permitted Subscriptions)
  • Manage external transfers using both paper-based methods and the Altus (Equisoft) platform
  • Handle internal cash movements and BACS payments to clients and third parties
  • Track the progress of transfers using internal systems to ensure timely account closures
  • Respond to queries via the team’s shared mailbox
  • Manage ISA-ineligible stock transfers to GIA accounts
  • Process certificated holdings transfers to clients or new providers
  • Support other administrative duties as required


About You

Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of ISA rules and APS transfers
  • Previous experience in a wealth management or financial services environment is desirable


Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of custody and transfer-out administration
  • Familiarity with the Altus Transfer Gateway system
  • Awareness of CASS rules and anti-money laundering regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Able to manage high workloads and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
