Join an inclusive Aberdeen based team as a 2nd Line Support Engineer, providing expert support across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Virtualisation, and networking. Troubleshoot hardware/software issues, support users both on-site and remotely, manage and diagnose networks, and administer MS 365 technologies. Our client is looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to support the businesses growth. For this role you will require exceptional technical support abilities, be customer focused, work well in a tight-nit team and will have an eagerness for learning new technical skills and disciplines.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Technical diagnostics. Resolving both software, and hardware issues efficiently and to a great standard.
  • Microsoft 365 diagnostics and administration. Supporting MS Office, Exchange, OneDrive and keeping to security best practices.
  • Windows Server 2016 – 2022 Support including Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Virtualisation technology including VMWare and Hyper-V.
  • Monitoring, administration and support of network technologies including firewalls, routers and switches, VLANs and VPNs.
  • Supporting users via remote desktop. RDP, Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop.

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • CompTIA A+ / Network+ qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • MS MCP/MCSA in relevant technologies.
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate.
  • MS Azure Fundamentals.
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certifications.
