Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm with flexibility to cover 6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm during team holiday absences

The Job

The Senior Operator is responsible for delivering a first-class experience to customers using the Print Room services for the client. The role-holder is responsible for Office Service Operators together with responsibility for the accurate completion of all tasks, delivered within the agreed service levels. This hands-on role oversees the reprographics workflow and team performance, also supporting and learning the print procurement and records management services

Knowledge and skills required

- Minimum 5 years’ office services experience in a banking, legal or large corporate environment

  • Experienced reprographics senior operator with team supervision skills
  • High level of customer focus and customer service skills with a proactive approach to service delivery and client satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language, both written and oral, and confidence to communicate at all levels
  • Maintains a professional appearance and business-like manner at all times in order to install confidence in the services provided
  • Able to handle difficult situations well and act appropriately
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to work to under pressure to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Possess a critical eye in terms of accuracy
  • Able to judge accurately when issues should be escalated to senior managers
  • Ability to motivate team members
  • Motivated individual and enthusiastic with “can do” attitude
  • Ability to work alone or collaboratively
  • To be competent with all reprographics printing and finishing equipment
  • To have a comprehensive understanding of all production processes and procedures
  • To understand and actively engage with all client IT policies and procedures relating to the Williams Lea services provided, ensuring client requirements are adhered to at all times
  • Accuracy of data is integral as this role has full ownership of data entry into the workflow system for the reprographics and bespoke print procurement systems

Special conditions

  • Able to lift weight up to 10kgs
  • Able to push and pull loads using mechanical aid
  • Able to load machines with toner, paper and consumables
  • Dexterity to collate documents, inserting section dividers into the documents, hole punching paper ready for binding, knocking the finished documents up straight ready for binding, inserting names in name badge holders
  • Able to use of wiro-binding machine, electric drill and hand guillotine

- Able to use of the electric guillotine, as a safety measure two controls on each side of the guillotine must be pressed simultaneously
