Saint Mary’s Hospital Managed Clinical Service is the largest maternity service in the country providing care for women across Manchester, its surrounding areas and the North West. Saint Mary's Hospital is a well-known centre of excellence across three sites including Saint Mary’s Oxford Road Campus, Saint Mary’s at Wythenshawe and North Manchester General Hospital, all with a vibrant and lively working atmosphere. We currently have exciting opportunities for newly qualified midwives to provide care across the pregnancy continuum including the Manchester Birth Centre and the Bluebell Birth Centre and as part of our continuity of care pathways. We provide intrapartum care in all settings from home birth, co-located birth centres to complex consultant led delivery units with integrated high dependency units

To join us, you will be a newly qualified Midwife (or about to qualify) with a desire to develop your career supported by our bespoke preceptorship package that will advance you during your first year towards achieving you Band 6 position and beyond. You will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • The ability to support and contribute to a team approach

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Experience to manage your own workload

  • The ability to problem-solve, analyse and resolve issues.

  • Current NMC registration (or awaiting registration)

In addition to this, you’ll be motivated to develop personally and professionally and have exemplary personal standards of conduct
