The Finance function is responsible for the accurate and timely production of financial information to its internal and external stakeholders.


The department also supports business performance by producing high quality management information, encouraging a cost-conscious culture, and by providing advice, support and training which should ensure all business decisions are financially informed.


Key Responsibilities


About the job



  • Support the Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts, completing external reporting, and financial administration, including cash management.

  • Deal with complex analysis and reconciliations, whilst also monitoring fixed assets, intercompany and overhead costs.

  • Review overhead costs with the Management Accountant highlighting any variances to forecast to ensure that future forecasts are achievable.

  • Manage elements of financial administration to include fixed asset register, capital expenditure approvals, purchase order and related general ledger postings.

  • Participation in improvement activities at department/company level to enhance business performance including ad-hoc systems and accounting projects.

  • Be responsible for the preparation of daily, monthly and yearly reports from in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Responsible for administration and reconciliation of the accounting process in accordance with Group accounting requirements and company authority levels.


About you


The successful candidate will ideally be AAT qualified and working towards either their ACCA or CIMA qualification. You will have significant relevant experience in computerised accounting environments alongside strong Excel skills. You have to be able to deliver efficient and accurate information on a day-to-day basis and be prepared to take on administrative accounting duties. We are looking for a person who can work both independently and as part of a team. You will be able to manage competing priorities and changing deadlines in a fast paced environment.
