Position: Information Security Manager Job Type: Full time Experience Required: Relevant combination of work experience and education Education: Bachelor of Computer Science preferred Travel: 10 - 15% of the time Job Description: - Lead a team of Information Security staff to develop and implement processes that reduce risks, respond to incidents, and protect the organization from financial loss - Effectively communicate with clients to address complex information security issues - Provide feedback on documentation created by team members and peers - Prepare and review activity reports as requested by management - Coordinate and implement information security operations and activities to protect information assets - Collaborate with clients and Client Management to establish confidence in the organization's information security program - Work with business teams to ensure that information security initiatives are understood and implemented - Set goals and objectives for team performance and manage their attainment - Develop and deploy state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative information security management techniques - Maintain relationships with management, peers, and industry counterparts to stay aligned with industry trends - Keep senior management informed on the status of information security issues and initiatives - Assist in establishing department financial goals and objectives - Provide staff leadership and mentorship - Perform other related duties as needed Education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience - CISSP, GSEC, CCNE, or other security or network certifications desired General Skills and Abilities: - Understanding of regulatory and audit requirements related to information security and privacy - Extensive knowledge of network and security technologies - Familiarity with the financial services industry - Proficiency in interacting with clients at executive level - Strong time management, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills - Ability to plan, report, set goals, establish priorities, and meet deadlines - Excellent problem-solving skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences - Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and clients - Experience in application development, systems engineering, and network engineering is preferred - Proficiency in managing teams and projects Job Level Description: This managerial role involves directing and controlling activities of a broad functional area through several department managers.
