Description

- You will be working an average of 21.52 hours per week. This role is shift-based and includes early starts, late finishes, weekends, and bank holiday working.
- Typical roster:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday 09:45 - 18:30
- Week 2: Sunday, 11:00-19:00 and Monday and Saturday 09:45 -18:30.
- You must be able to arrange your own transport to ensure timely arrival for early and late shifts.
- Employment is subject to satisfactory Right to Work checks, a DBS check, and a safety‑critical medical assessment.
- You’ll need a valid driving licence, as part of the role involves driving a buggy to transport passengers
- Applicants must be over 18 years of age
- Salary: pay progression is structured as follows:
- £25,051 0-12 months
- £25,435 from 12–24 months
- £26,471 after 24 months (full‑time equivalent). The actual salary you receive will be pro rata, based on your part‑time hours.

In this role, as a Welcome Host, you’ll be the friendly face of Greater Anglia, delivering effective customer service while helping passengers travel smoothly and safely
Key Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming environment while providing proactive assistance to customers on and off trains.
- Handle all matters related to safety, security, cash regulations, and maintenance of ticket machines.
- When required, carry out winter precautions in accordance with station arrangements.
- Maintain security at the station
- Perform station cleaning to uphold the appearance of the station.
- Conduct security checks as part of the Station Security Plans (SSP), with varying frequencies based on the station (every 30 minutes to twice a day).
- Look for left items, ensure waste bins are secured, and confirm that doors are shut and/or locked during security checks.
- Safely operate and drive a buggy to transport passengers around the site
