Warehouse Operative - Initially 6 Month FTC - #151496

Initially a 6 month Fixed Term Contract role, with potential for extension.

About the Role

As our Warehouse Operative, you will be a hands-on, front-line worker within our warehouse facility. The role involves the process of receiving, storing, picking, and arranging collection/delivery of goods. It also requires the stock deliveries to forward storage facilities and Radio sites around the Country.

This role is critical in supporting our internal teams and outsourced partners, including:

• Preparing equipment based on project forecasts or timelines.
• Ensuring the right quantities of telecoms kit are delivered on time to build partners.
• Ensuring that equipment returned from decommissioned sites, is properly logged, cleaned, evaluated, and returned to usable inventory

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures the warehouse is a secure, clean and safe working environment.
• Control inventory levels.
• Delivery of materials to job site locations as directed by others.
• Pick-up of materials from suppliers and job sites as directed by others.
• Pre-assembly of various items as required.
• Responsible for following up on any missing or defective items with the suppliers or vendor.
• Responsible for organising stock products on shelves or on pallets to allow for easier inventory checks and shipment pulls.
• Responsible for providing Pick sheets, inventory for projects and that shipments are prepared in time for project builds.
• Responsible for tracking inventory, from shelf to site and for updating the computer system so that the Business can assign costs appropriately.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education.
• Full, Clean Driving License.

Technical Experience and Knowledge

• Previous warehouse experience required but not essential.
• Over 3 years' experience in warehouse management (Goods-In & Goods-Out) is an advantage.
• Knowledge in warehouse procedures, stock management systems and telecoms equipment is an advantage.
