Siemens is creating its first UK based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground we are starting to recruit nearly 300 skilled technical and support colleagues at in our Manufacturing Facility. Soon follow-on work is expected to bring this number of trains into the hundreds, along with an expansion on the site into maintenance and overhaul activities displaying a long-term commitment to the area and growth in employment and career opportunities..

We are looking for 2x Warehouse Operatives to join our Logistics & Warehouse team at Goole. In this role, you will ensure the smooth assembling of the new underground trains by ensuring the Assembly team has all the materials they need.

You ‘ll make a difference by ….

  • Being a part of a large materials handling team that will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the end-to-end materials handling life cycle within our brand-new assembly facility.
  • Ensuring that safety, process and quality inspection requirements are achieved at every stage and materials movement.
  • Confirming products are booked in accurately, picked and packed, ensuring that all materials arrive with your assembly colleagues to support the production schedule.

Your success will be grounded by …

  • Suitable experience of working within a warehouse environment in a similar industrial environment.
  • An ability to always focus on Safety.
  • Experience using a variety of automated stock management tools.

It would also be helpful to have the following:

  • Experience performing and supporting stock counts
  • Experience with SAP (Or similar WMS systems)
  • FLT or similar MHE experience
