Dorset-based cooking and food education charity seeks fundraising advisor in fundraising. Can you share your skills and experience?

What are we looking for?

Experience in fundraising, especially grants and trusts, corporate partnerships and trading. Has some capacity each month to support the CEO and a small team of volunteers with advice. Be willing to share experiences, networks and skills to improve in-house fundraising. Be part of the team to look at sourcing additional fundraising capacity. Be a caring and friendly individual that shares the vision of the Friendly Food Club, to transform lives through transformative cooking and food sessions.

What will you be doing?

We are looking to find someone with fundraising skills and networks in Dorset that can support our small and enthusiastic team's plans for growth to deliver more cooking and food education sessions to marginalised groups in partnerships with community groups, NHS and schools across the county. This is not necessarily a practical fundraising role, but an advisory role to support the CEO and Board. We have already secured a 3-year Community Fund grant to help us develop our systems and structures. To grow relies on a more strategic delivery of fundraising targets. We are currently developing our although open to other aspects of private and major donors when the time is right. We are looking for someone who ideally Lives in Dorset (although this role can be mostly remote, so not essential) Has experience of fundraising strategy and corporate partnerships, grants and trusts and related-trading activities. Has experience of setting up new systems for small/medium sized charities and understand the budget restrictions. Ideally has contacts and networks that you would be willing to access. Experience of recruiting fundraising team members or outsourcing Can translate the charity strategy into fundraising results. It would be great if you had a connection to food and/or communities to understand the power of cooking and how it can transform lives.
