Playground Games are looking for a VFX Artist to join our Fable team on a contract basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

As a VFX Artist, you will create high-quality VFX, elevate the visuals of Fable and deliver strong creative ideas, while communicating and collaborating with the wider team.

You have an appreciation of a broad range of art styles and are able to apply your knowledge of animation, dynamics and rendering to real-time visuals and offline visual targets.

This is a contract role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in studio. Relocation assistance is available if required. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

  • Create and integrate high-quality VFX assets that complement gameplay mechanics, environment, and character design, while optimizing for performance and memory considerations.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless VFX asset integration and address VFX-related issues.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

  • A portfolio demonstrating high-quality real time VFX work.
  • Knowledge of a 3D software such as Houdini, 3DS Max and Maya.
  • A self-motivated team player, with good communication skills and a desire to learn and improve.
  • Passion for video games and the gaming industry.
