Situated in the heart of Herefordshire, The Laurels are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join us. Our practice benefits from a truly exceptional location, serving both the historic city of Hereford and the picturesque village of Ewyas Harold. This area offers the perfect balance of vibrant community life and unspoilt rural countryside, with rolling hills, farmland and access to the Golden Valley, Black Mountains and Wye Valley right on the doorstep. Hereford provides excellent amenities, transport links and cultural attractions, while Ewyas Harold offers the charm of a close-knit village with strong local identity and surrounding agricultural communities. As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Salary up to £75,000 FTE DOE

Key Responsibilites And Working Hours
- You'll be working up cases within a first opinion team, from consults to routine surgery and dentals
- Be part of our team,support others and share your ideas
- Utilising the equipment we have on site and collaborating with local teams for further support
- Join us on a part or full time basis, we are happy to be flexible and can consider working hours to suit your lifestyle and commitments outside of work
You Are a Confident And Motivated Veterinary Surgeon Who Enjoys Working As Part Of a Team And Is Committed To Delivering High-quality Patient And Client Care. You’ll Bring
- A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
- A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
