Your Mission
As a Training Lead, you will enhance the brand and product experience at retail by implementing effective training programs for our retailers, distributors and sales teams. The training programs, part of our service-offer to retailers, are related to our brands, products, shopping behavior & selling skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop relevant, high-impact training tools for the European organization and ensure effective local rollout within your region. Collaborate closely with local Training Leads to support implementation across Europe.
- Co-own and contribute to the delivery of training days at the two main European events: Customer Conference and Kind + Jugend.
- Roll out and localize the European training strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with brands, products, services, and sales strategies. Implement training materials, tools, and methodologies accordingly.
- Participate in HQ-led training sessions to stay ahead of sales teams on all new product introductions.
- Maintain close collaboration with the Product Marketing team to stay informed on key developments and upcoming launches.
- Implement the training program within your market, including a train-the-trainer approach for the sales team. Focus on enhancing brand loyalty and retail conversion through innovative learning solutions, with strong emphasis on shop floor execution and local market adaptation. Align closely with the Regional Country Manager.
- Adapt and localize upselling and cross-selling strategies using engaging and innovative training approaches. Explore and introduce alternative digital learning tools.
- Coach and train local sales teams, supporting them in translating strategy into execution. Build strong relationships to enable high performance, in close alignment with the Country Manager and sales leadership team. Take the lead in preparing and training teams for local events.
- Execute retail staff incentive programs in collaboration with the commercial team to drive sell-out performance.
- Play an active role in delivering training objectives within key accounts and take ownership of the train-the-trainer program in your market.
- Act as the go-to training expert, taking ownership of training initiatives and building deep expertise across the full Dorel portfolio.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on training effectiveness using insights from e-learning platforms, Salesforce, and Power BI dashboards.
Your Profile
- 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international retail environment, including a minimum of 2+ years of experience in training.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with confidence, drive, energy, and the ability to work independently.
- Capability to translate global strategy and insights into pragmatic local execution plans. Experience with high-end brands and/or retail is a strong advantage.
- Experienced in bringing training programs to life and running them. Strong skills in presenting to large audiences, public speaking, and making presentations.
- Strong leadership skills overseeing actions and stakeholders.
- Proficient in storytelling, commercializing, training, and sales techniques. – Natural presenter skills are highly appreciated for this role.
- Flexible and willing to travel frequently across different locations.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
Location & Travel Requirements
The candidate is expected to be based within a 100 km radius of our Borehamwood (UK) office. Regular presence in the Borehamwood office is required, alongside frequent visits to our Helmond headquarters in the Netherlands.
Given the scope of the role, the position requires travel several times per year across Europe. Therefore, it is considered a strong advantage if the candidate lives near major transport links, such as a main road network or in close proximity to an airport.
What We Offer
- A salary of £36,000 per annum.
- A car allowance of £550 per month.
- The annual leave entitlements consist of 25 vacation days
- Other terms include health insurance and pension scheme.
