About The Role
We are currently seeking a Trainee Lecturer in Multi-Trades to join our Construction department at The Bedford College Group.

About The Role
We are currently seeking a Trainee Lecturer in Multi-Trades to join our Construction department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Trainee Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Teaching & Curriculum Delivery - Plan and deliver high-quality Building Services and Built Environment programmes, using innovative methods to engage learners and develop real-world vocational skills.
- Student Progress & Support - Monitor, track, and support learner progress, providing timely interventions, feedback, and pastoral guidance to ensure achievement and progression.
- Curriculum Development & Industry Relevance - Contribute to course design and development, keeping content up to date with industry trends and embedding employability and life skills.
- Assessment & Quality Management - Assess, record, and report learner achievement in line with awarding body standards, maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality improvement processes.
- Classroom Management & Compliance - Manage behaviour, maintain safe learning environments, uphold safeguarding, equality, and health & safety standards, and complete all administrative and professional duties effectively.
- Qualifications & Training Requirements - Level 2 qualification in a relevant trade (Carpentry, Brickwork or Painting & Decorating), with teaching qualifications (or willingness to achieve), including assessor award and GCSE English and Maths.
- Industry Knowledge & Technical Skills - Up-to-date vocational expertise with relevant industry experience, knowledge of current technologies, and ability to teach across a range of levels and disciplines.
- Teaching & Learning Capability - Ability to deliver engaging lessons using varied teaching approaches, motivate learners, support progress, and maintain a high-quality learning experience.
- Organisation & IT Skills - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload, maintain accurate records, and confidently use Microsoft Office and digital systems (e.g. Teams, ProMonitor).
- Professionalism & Compliance - Commitment to safeguarding, health & safety, and continuous professional development, with flexibility to work across sites and maintain appropriate professional relationships.
