We're looking to hire a Trainee Design Engineer here at Vipond in East Kilbride. A key appointment in our continued growth and success we'll support you to become a fully qualified Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer.

Goals And Objectives

• To ensure the system designs are produced in high quality, in compliance with the relevant standard and within the necessary timescales.
• To develop, and maintain professional relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of sprinkler system designs for a variety of applications
• Production of technical documentation, installation drawings and coordination models, primarily using AutoCAD.
• Production of hydraulic calculations.
• On-site surveying where necessary.
  
  

Qualifications

• Qualifications/ Experience/Knowledge:
• Minimum of a HNC in a CAD, design or construction related discipline.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD. Experience of Revit would be an advantage.
• Competent with Microsoft Office software (must include Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Basic knowledge of construction or experience in the construction industry would be an advantage.
• Full UK driving license.
