Mission of the position
The Testing Technician is responsible to perform a variety of test on systems, sub-assemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure, in order to ensure that production objectives are met, whilst sustaining quality in a safe working environment.
Functions And Responsibilities
Tests and measurements:
Prepare the workstation with the tools and test equipment to perform the required tests. During tests, check that the operation of equipment corresponds with the definition reflected in the procedures
Keep and protect dismantled equipment for testing purposes and ensure proper assembly Store and clean the workstation at the end of the activity
Correction of defects:Search for the origin of the defects found during the tests. Resolve problems and/or report to the team leader any defects and/or incidents verify that the solution implemented validates the test.
Documentation:
Write a report at the end of each test to allow delivery If necessary, write a report with the failures and anomalies detected, support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager.
Required Professional Experience
NVQ Level 3 / Modern Apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical discipline.
IOSH qualification or equivalent health and safety qualification.
Current First Aid at Work qualification.
Technical and/or practical knowledge valued
