Overview

You will join as a Network Test Engineer , and you will be required to execute E2E testing for projects in Networking/ Datacentre domain.

  • Demonstrate strong technical skills in Networking domain and good stakeholder management skills.
  • Must have at least 5 years test experience working on large complex projects in the Networking industry with multiple stakeholders.
  • Well versed in delivering projects in both Waterfall and Agile models. You will have deep knowledge of functional and non-functional testing, with an understanding of Performance Testing and how this should be conducted.
  • Contribute towards Project and Test planning and be comfortable providing high-level testing estimates.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide guidance on appropriate techniques and approaches to ensure the product is thoroughly tested.

Requirements

SC or SC Eligible is must - Non Negotiable

  • Experience in preparing Test Estimated, Test Scope, Test Approach, Detailed Test Plans Scenarios and Cases.
  • Knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, Azure Devops (should have used at least one tool)
  • Experience of System Testing (Network Build Validation), Integration (LAN/WAN) and Performance and Resilience Testing, also Acceptance Testing
  • Experience of defect management, raising defects, allocation, follow-up for resolution, re-testing, closure, production of defect reports etc.
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of liaising with and managing key Technical stakeholders - both customers and external third parties
  • Excellent Team Player and Open to Travel as per project needs (once or twice during the week, may be more often during the testing)
  • Experience in both Waterfall and Agile delivery models


Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge within Fixed and Mobile communications industry with in-depth knowledge of Cisco Applications/Cisco Devices
  • Extensive knowledge of IP, BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, UDP, Datacentre and SD-WAN
  • Extensive Knowledge of network technologies (Routers, Switches, LAN, WAN, MPLS, Wireless etc)
  • Good Experience of using the traffic generators such as Spirent, Metro-data etc
  • Extensive knowledge of Putty and Debugging tools such as Wireshark
  • Knowledge of Virtualization (VMware etc)
