To manage a number of key contractual processes to deliver a multi-skilled, PLC, PC and controls equipment service across a wide range of operationally critical equipment whilst understanding and operating safely and in-line with the customer’s business needs and what is critical to quality at all times.

The occupier of the role will optimise the service to our customer through process delivery including: change control, error management, root-cause analysis and specialist reporting. They will be involved in all site processes and error management which is key to contractual success.

Tasks And Qualifications

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Management of all site processes
  • Support the management of site errors and incidents through to root-cause and prevention
  • Root-cause-analysis reporting using tools such as 8D, A3 etc.
  • Manage all reporting in line with contractual requirements
  • All error management
  • Management of the Technical Specialist Team
  • Management of change control and IT services updates
  • Driving Continuous improvement & Team Development via the Technical Specialist Team & whole site team
  • Support for the Dematic Site Manager in data analysis and presentation
  • Attending meetings and presenting technical (and other) information to the customer
  • System Improvement Process (SIP) management
  • Dematic JMR Meeting support
  • 3rd Party supplier contact and interfacing including Dürkopp, DAI, Beumer, IDC, BSH etc.

Knowledge And Qualifications

  • Time-served apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 (Or Equivalent) Electrical bias
  • HNC / HND / Degree qualified engineering qualification (electrical bias) minimum
  • Electrical controls system experience including inverter drives, barcode scanning equipment, Profibus / Profinet / ASi-bus / ASi-Safe / Ethernet etc.
  • PLC (Siemens) required
  • PC, SQL database/querying, comms networks
  • Previous experience within a controls equipment environment (warehousing preferred)
  • Multi-skilled experience
  • Previous Management/Customer Facing Experience preferred
  • Apprenticed trained
  • IOSH / NEBOSH Trained
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
