We are currently recruiting for a Technical Financial Accountant to join our team in Heywood (UK).
Job Description:
As the Technical Financial Accountant you will be part of the central European Finance team responsible for the preparation, analysis of the external and internal financial reporting. This role is key control to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the group’s (interim) financial information. As Technical Financial Accounting you are responsible for accounting analysis of technical accounting topics under both US GAAP and UK GAAP like leases, impairments, revenue recognition. You will also be responsible for the preparation of the statutory UK financial statements, support on income tax position and coordination with our external auditor.
Furthermore, you will be involved within the PPA process on Europe level. This includes involvement in the valuation, review of opening balance sheet, identification of GAAP differences) and accurate translation into our financial system. .
This role is reporting to the “Specialist Technical Accounting” and will have a strong connection to the department of technical accounting in the EU and the Financial Controller in the UK.

- Responsible for preparation of the (consolidated) financial statements for our UK companies. Support on income tax (outsourced).
- Processing PPA activities and technical accounting topics within Europe for group and purposes
- Involved in the external audit process in relation to UK audit and other technical accounting topics (both for US GAAP as well local GAAP).
- Accountable for identification of differences between US GAAP and local GAAP and ensure proper accounting for these differences
- Supporting the US GAAP Tax provisioning in relation to the PPA process
- Monitor technical accounting, regulatory and financial reporting developments to ensure Lineage maintains compliance with current and developing standards and regulations.
- Manage the relationship with key external parties on behalf of Lineage, including the external auditors, advisors and consultants.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Financial Controlling and/or CPA
- Typically 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience but not a must
- Strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills
- Self-motivated, detail oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service support.
- Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work.
Preferable a background in the top six accounting firms (in UK).
