As the successful candidate you will be an expert in your field with the ability to undertake complex property, housing and regeneration work and lead and manage a team of lawyers specialising in property, housing and regeneration and governance. As well as having a wide spectrum of technical ability you will need to show yourself to be confident, professional and enthusiastic and able to give clear and credible advice to senior officers and elected members.
You will also be a proactive and robust leader and team player, be flexible in approach and willing to get involved in all areas of the Legal Service Team’s work. In addition, we are looking for a creative thinker that can influence and drive progress and who is keen to play a key role in helping the service to develop and improve.
A commercial and pragmatic focus, as well as an awareness of the political and corporate implications of decisions are needed too.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, collaboration and problem-solving skills are also required for this role.
