School website: www.edenfieldprimary.co.uk Summary The staff and governing body of Edenfield Primary School are looking to appoint a skilled, enthusiastic and highly motivated teaching assistant who will be a role model for our children and support them to achieve the best possible outcomes. The post may be based in either KS1 or KS2 depending on the strengths and experience of the successful candidate.

We are a warm and welcoming school with 196 children on roll, and are fortunate to be located in a beautiful village surrounded by countryside. The school has completed a full refurbishment of all classrooms and we offer an attractive, bespoke learning environment, complete with a wide range of resources and up to date technology. Our extensive school grounds promote many opportunities for outdoor learning and children benefit from a large field, sports pitches, a woodland area and a school garden where we grow our own fresh produce.

We require a teaching assistant who is enthusiastic, hard-working and able to use their own initiative, in addition to having a friendly and positive attitude which will enable them to fit in with our dedicated staff. Our teaching assistants work as a team and, although they have a class base, they may also be asked to support children and staff in other classrooms. The role will include providing general support within the classroom as well as delivering specific interventions to individuals, or groups of children. There will also be the opportunity for the right candidate to progress to achieving HLTA hours to undertake supervisory cover across both key stages.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teaching assistant who is seeking to progress their career.

The interview date is week commencing 29/04/2024.

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
