The Role
Education World is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Duffield. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines classroom support with responsibilities during the exam period as an invigilator. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students' academic progress while also ensuring exams run smoothly and according to official guidelines.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a secondary school setting (desirable).
- A flexible and proactive attitude to classroom and school-wide support.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Confidence in managing exam protocols and maintaining a calm environment.
- Reliability and attention to detail, particularly during exam periods.
- Providing classroom support to students and teachers across various subjects.
- Supporting students with additional needs on a one-to-one or small group basis.
- Preparing resources and assisting in maintaining a focused learning environment.
- Carrying out exam invigilation duties, including setting up exam rooms, monitoring students, and ensuring regulations are followed.
- Reporting any issues or concerns in line with school safeguarding and examination policies.
- Weekly pay via PAYE – no umbrella deductions.
- Access to CPD and exam invigilator training.
- Flexible working opportunities with potential for long-term placements.
- A dedicated consultant providing tailored support throughout your assignment.
