City of Doncaster Council has made a firm commitment to tackling the Climate Crisis by implementing a strategy aiming to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2040. Whilst this will be a challenging target, we have several ongoing initiatives aimed at reducing emissions, and a drive to implement these improvements across the city

The Sustainability Technical Officer will provide project coordination and technical support for a range of initiatives across the Built and Natural Environment. This will involve providing effective, professional and solution focused support for the Sustainability Unit along with collaboration across wider council services to deliver for our community

Technical expertise will be focussed on the delivery of our Housing Retrofit and Energy Advice services with responsibility for the management of the Council’s bespoke domestic energy assessment software

The successful candidate must be well-organised, hardworking and flexible with experience of providing project support in a service with high demands. We are looking for a conscientious team member with excellent customer service skills to provide valuable information, advice and guidance to residents and wider stakeholders for the services covered by the Sustainability Unit

The ideal candidate will also have experience of invoicing and the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Outlook and Excel as well as the use of databases
