The Role
As Sustainability Officer, you will lead on data-driven initiatives to improve environmental and social performance. You will collaborate across departments to promote responsible business practices and support long-term sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyse data related to carbon emissions, waste, energy use, and responsible sourcing
- Implement and support sustainability projects across departments
- Work with HR, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and IT to streamline data collection and reporting processes
- Contribute to internal and external sustainability reports, including those aligned with CSRD standards
- Use tools and internal systems to track environmental impact and identify improvement opportunities
- Support the definition and tracking of reduction targets
- Ensure accuracy of data through structured checks and internal audit methods
- Present insights, progress updates, and risks to key stakeholders and senior management
- Engage with supply chain partners to promote sustainable practices
- Contribute to wider corporate and customer sustainability goals, including Science-Based Targets
- Previous experience in a sustainability or CSR role, with a focus on data reporting and analysis
- Solid understanding and exposure to Environmental frameworks
- Strong collaboration and communication skills and be able to influence and coach others
- Analytical mindset with experience using reporting and data visualisation tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
- Full driving license as some travel will be involved in the role
- Ideally degree-qualified in Sustainability, Sustainable Development, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Energy and Environment, or a related field
