Support Worker
Location: Hucclecote, Gloucester
Salary: £13.00
Contract Type: 45 hours
Shift Patterns: 7:00am – 3:00pm, 3:00pm – 10:00pm, 7:00am – 10:00pm (Sleep-in shifts may also be required)
This role is subject to a DBS check, which will be provided by Prosperity Care & Wellbeing. Please note we do not offer sponsorship at this time.

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will support adults with a range of needs to live safe, fulfilling, and independent lives. You will assist with day-to-day activities, encourage independence, and promote wellbeing through a respectful and person-centred approach that reflects each individual’s needs and preferences. You will be responsible for recognising and reporting any safeguarding concerns to ensure those you support remain safe and protected. Personal care may be required as part of the role, so you must feel confident providing this in a respectful and dignified manner. You will be required to work across multiple services in Cheltenham, Gloucester, and Tewkesbury, providing flexible support where needed.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide person-centred support to adults with a range of needs, assisting with daily living activities and encouraging independence. You will support individuals to take part in community and social activities, maintain accurate records, and follow individual support plans. You will also recognise and report safeguarding concerns, provide personal care when required, and work flexibly across services to ensure consistent, high-quality support is delivered.
About You
You are a caring, patient, and compassionate individual who is committed to supporting people to live independently and with dignity. You are calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and are confident supporting adults with varying needs, including providing personal care when required. You take a person-centred approach, understand the importance of safeguarding, and are flexible and reliable in order to support individuals across different services. Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
