Position Summary
Main job functions
Plan, schedule and execute procurement, production planning, despatch and export activities such as planning of inbound materials and production scheduling. As well as import/export activities according to standards and customer requirements. Control the full SCM process from end to end. Management of raw materials, production requirements e.g. capacity management, warehouse storage of finished goods and on-time delivery to the customer.

Duties, Responsibilities and Key Tasks
Health and Safety
Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment within Operations, and compliance with safe systems of work, procedures and statutory regulations.
Report accidents and incidents, investigate root cause and take appropriate action to prevent recurrence.
Quality
Ensure appropriate planning procedures & work instructions are in place & followed.
Identify opportunities for improving the quality and effectiveness of the planning process and liaise with colleagues (Operations team + cross-functional) to drive delivery of improvements.
People
Perform production planning and control (capacity planning, order scheduling, order release and order sequencing) according to demand plan, production control plan, work instructions and standards.
Liaise with manufacturing, engineering, sales & purchasing colleagues in order to overcome problems & resolve conflicts of priorities within the Operations Plan
Sales
Perform delivery to customer (e.g. transport, planning, dispatch) freight management, customs clearance and packaging management according to standards.
Manage customer orders and service (local order related issues, technical issues addressed by PPI, ME or Q or global/central functions) according to standards.
Liaise with sales & marketing colleagues in order to establish customer requirements, agree overall customer order priorities & ensure that these are reflected in the Operations Plan
Operations
Plan and implement investments for Supply chain equipment (e.g. forklift trucks, AVG, warehouses) according to standards.
Perform inventory and warehouse management : operate all warehouses for raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods and monitor inventory according to standards.
Manage external logistics partners according to standards.
Manage master data and parameter control (e.g. lot sizes, lead times, storage information etc) according to standards.
Operate Supply chain Performance monitoring (e.g. regarding cost, adhere to schedule, lead time, capacity utilization) and identify, prioritize and implement Supply Chain process improvements.
Implement internal supply chain standards and provide feedback and input for further development of standards.
Initiation and implementation of continuous improvement by applying CBS methods and training measures.
Qualifications
Experience Required
Minimum of 1 year planning / scheduling experience in a high value batch manufacturing environment
Minimum of 3 years planning / production control experience in a high value batch manufacturing environmen
Knowledge Required
Working knowledge & understanding of DOM products & processes and their interactions.
Demonstrated competence / understanding of site safety systems, including permit to work procedures & other company policies.
Qualifications / Skills Required
Degree qualified or suitable equivalent in relevant subject
Good written and verbal communication skills
Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP).
Problem solving / analytical skills

Self motivation with the ability to drive through results - drive for continuous improvement
