The role will be part of the Thames Water Strategic Resource Option (SRO) organisation, which is responsible for the development of several projects to improve drought resilience and minimise interruptions to water supplies in the South-East whilst protecting the environment. These projects may include a new reservoir and transfer projects between different river catchments

Engaging and communicating with political and strategic stakeholders during the design and planning of these projects – to keep them informed, help build trust and understanding, and gather feedback which can be used to inform the project proposals
Develop and maintain relationships with political and strategic stakeholders
Supporting project engagement campaigns, including events and large mailouts
Monitoring and analysing intelligence on legislative, policy and political developments
Maintaining a grid of political stakeholder interaction and advising on the engagement activities of senior team members to ensure we gain support for the SRO schemes
Working closely with the corporate public affairs team to ensure alignment of engagement, campaigns and messages
Maintaining excellent working relationships with project colleagues from other technical disciplines

Experience in an engagement role, specifically political engagement
Previous background of working on infrastructure or construction projects
Strong communication skills - written and verbal
Able to multi-task and work flexibly to manage conflicting priorities
Be able to travel to support project activities
Flexible and resilient to deal with project challenges

Competitive salary £40,000 - £60,000
Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays)
Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution
