A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

  • Accurately process stock movements, goods received, and dispatch documentation, ensuring inventory records are maintained within the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Prepare and manage warehouse administration, including delivery notes, purchase orders, invoices, and transport documentation.
  • Liaise with warehouse operatives, transport teams, suppliers, and customers to coordinate deliveries, resolve stock queries, and support daily operations.
  • Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and investigate inventory discrepancies to maintain high levels of stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Produce reports, update spreadsheets, and support compliance with company procedures, health and safety standards, and quality requirements using Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy when processing stock records, inventory data, and warehouse documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook) and confident using warehouse management systems (WMS) or stock control software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse teams, transport staff, suppliers, and customers.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload, resolve stock discrepancies, and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
