Job Description
We are currently seeking a Software Developer (.NET) to take responsibility for building, enhancing, and maintaining AWS-based products that align with Sage’s business plans and long-term objectives, following the defined architecture.
As a Software Developer at Sage, you’ll work in a fast-paced, innovative environment that values experimentation and continuous improvement, collaborating with global teams across Sage to define, design, deliver, and maintain services for the Payroll and HR Business Unit.
*** Please note that this role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Newcastle office. ***

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance APIs and backend services.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications and help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Utilize AWS services to build, deploy, and manage applications while contributing to CI/CD.
- Explore new technologies to improve development and products while providing feedback in code reviews.
- Maintain relevant documentation to describe logic, coding/configuration, testing and changes where applicable.
- Solid experience in software development with a focus on .NET C#.
- Background in developing and integrating APIs and backend services.
- Experience with relational (SQL Server, MySQL) or NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases is beneficial.
- Familiarity with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, DocumentDB, and CI/CD.
