Job Summary
The Social Media Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in increasing revenue by enhancing our client’s visibility, engaging potential customers, and driving new clients to the business. Through strategic content creation, targeted campaigns, and fostering a strong online community, this role directly contributes to revenue growth.
In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for growing our social media presence while supporting broader marketing efforts. Your contributions will be vital in strengthening our client community and ensuring smooth, effective marketing operations across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Proactively manage social media accounts across platforms.
- Engage with followers and clients — reply to comments and DMs .
- Foster meaningful interactions and build community .
- Create and schedule engaging, platform-specific content .
- Leverage hashtags, trends, and cross-promotion for visibility .
- Coordinate with the marketing team to align content with key campaigns .
Driving Conversions, Analytics & Reporting
- Write strong calls to action that convert followers into customers .
- Track and analyse performance data to refine strategies .
- Deliver regular KPI reports to the Head of Growth Marketing .
- Test and optimise campaigns for maximum impact .
Content Creation
- Capture and create content (photos, videos, graphics) that aligns with tone and brand .
- Plan and schedule posts across platforms .
- Brainstorm fresh, audience-driven content ideas .
- Optimise content for reach and engagement .
- Include strong calls to action in every piece of content .
Continuous Improvement
- Stay on top of platform updates, trends, and best practices .
- Experiment with new formats and content types .
- Analyse past content and recommend improvements .
- Monitor competitors and industry news .
- Explore innovative tools and tactics .
- Participate in industry events, webinars, and training to stay current .
- Share insights across the team and wider business .
Customer Service
- Reply to online queries and concerns professionally via social media .
- Refer more complex issues to the Client Services team as needed .
Feedback Collection
- Gather customer feedback via social channels .
- Share recommendations to improve services and customer experience .
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all content adheres to GDPR, FCA Financial Promotions, Consumer Duty, etc. .
- Work with Compliance to adapt materials and guidelines accordingly .
- Protect client data and manage opt-outs effectively .
- Keep up with regulatory changes and complete monthly compliance training .
- Use social feedback and NPS scores to drive continuous improvement and customer-centric communications .
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven marketing experience, ideally in financial services .
- Excellent organisation and time management skills .
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal .
- High attention to detail and accuracy .
- Tech savvy, especially with MS Office .
- Proactive with a solution-focused mindset .
- In-depth knowledge of social platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok .
