About The Role
The Smart Metering Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of Southern Water’s smart metering programme through the provision of accurate, timely, and insightful performance and management information.

A core aspect of the role involves producing clear and effective data visualisations and reports that provide stakeholders with meaningful insights into programme performance and support informed decision-making.
The Smart Metering Analyst is also accountable for ensuring that all reporting outputs meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements. This includes delivering performance reports within agreed service levels, supporting submissions to external bodies such as MOSL, Water UK, and Ofwat, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of reported data.
Through ongoing analysis and continuous improvement of reporting processes, the role helps ensure that the smart metering programme operates efficiently, meets its objectives, and delivers measurable benefits to both the organisation and its customers.
