The Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Surveyor to join our WPS Planned Works team in the North West to work on a current SHF Wave 3 Retrofit Scheme in Halton (near Runcorn). You will play a key role in commercially managing works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to WPS' high-quality standards. The role offers hybrid working; working from site, from home and from our regional office in Oldham.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Surveyor to join our WPS Planned Works team in the North West to work on a current SHF Wave 3 Retrofit Scheme in Halton (near Runcorn). You will play a key role in commercially managing works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to WPS' high-quality standards. The role offers hybrid working; working from site, from home and from our regional office in Oldham.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing planned works across social housing contracts focusing on cost control
- Producing and submitting monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and progress reports
- Procurement, managing subcontractors, producing external valuations and cash flows
- Working closely with Commercial Managers on budgets, profit plans and final accounts
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards and Wates processes
- Attending monthly client progress meetings (both in person and on-line)
- Building strong relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and internal teams
- Supporting continuous improvement and high standards of customer satisfaction
- BSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
- Housing Association / Social Housing experience including SHF retrofitting works highly desirable
- Strong commercial and financial understanding (cost control, valuations, cash flow)
- Experience of managing projects and subcontractors on site
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills and well versed in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Full UK driving licence
